IMPOWER’s Heroes of 2023: 22 December
Find out who I've nominated as my hero of 2023...
IMPOWER Consulting is delighted to announce the appointment of Sarah Atkinson, who joins IMPOWER from Capita’s health advisory and analytics business where she was Managing Director. Sarah will be working alongside fellow health Director, Kieran Brett, to implement IMPOWER’s ambitious plans to expand its health business.
Sarah Atkinson said:
“I’m delighted to be joining IMPOWER and I’m very much looking forward to working with a successful team and fantastic clients. I believe the local authority expertise IMPOWER has is unmatched in the market and the investment in additional health capability will create a unique capability at a time that both health and social care services are reaching crisis point.
The fact that one of IMPOWER’s health projects [working with Bromley CCG and the council to design and implement a new model of care] has been announced as a finalist in the Management Consultancy Association Awards shows the great and innovative work IMPOWER is already doing in this space.
I’m very excited to be joining IMPOWER and working with colleagues to build on this success and spearhead its plans for growth.”
Helen Bailey said:
“IMPOWER is committed to public service reform. With health and local government becoming increasingly entwined and reliant on each other to deliver savings and improve outcomes, expanding IMPOWER’s health capability is vital.
As our health expertise grows, I’m also excited by how we can combine this with our skills in behaviour change to benefit our local government clients in dealing with challenges such as adult and children’s social care and working with health to deliver STPs.
Sarah is a great addition to IMPOWER’s health team and brings market knowledge and expertise thus allowing us to extend our work and enhance the value we add.”
Although IMPOWER is mostly known for its work in local government, its work and reputation in the health market has steadily grown.
Over the past two years it has worked with CCGs, vanguards and STPs to manage demand and implement sustainable, preventative models of care. IMPOWER now looks forward to building on this experience and working with more clients, at a time when new and innovative approaches to health and social care are needed more than ever.
Sarah’s appointment is part of a significant investment for IMPOWER; Stuart Lindsay (previously of BDO) has also joined the business as an Assistant Director and further appointments will be announced in due course.
